Data Protection Clarification Text

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and GDPR standards, we at Sporter ("Data Controller") would like to inform you about the processing, storage, and transfer of your personal data.

1. Your Processed Personal Data

When you use our application, the following data is processed:

• Identity Data: Name, surname (via manual entry or Google/Apple accounts).
• Contact Data: Email address.
• Location Data: Instant GPS location to show sports events on the map.
• Health Data: Daily/weekly step, calorie, and heart rate data collected via Apple Health (with your explicit consent).
• Content and Safety Data: Sports listings, chat messages, reports, and block records.

2. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

• Completing in-app user registration.
• Providing location-based event searches on the map.
• Displaying sports and health analytics on the user profile.
• Fulfilling legal obligations and conducting moderation.

3. Transfer of Personal Data

In accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK and limited to the purposes above, personal data may be transferred to Supabase, which provides authentication, database, and file-storage infrastructure; to Apple or Google if you choose the relevant sign-in provider; and to competent public authorities when legally required. Apple Health data is not transferred for advertising or marketing.

4. Rights of the Data Subject (KVKK Article 11)

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, data subjects have the right to:

• Learn whether their personal data is processed,
• Request information if their personal data has been processed,
• Request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
• Request the deletion or destruction of personal data.

5. Application to the Data Controller

To exercise your rights stated above and to submit your requests regarding your personal data, you can send an email to info@sporter.life or initiate the permanent destruction of your data via the "Settings > Delete My Account" button in the app.

6. Retention and Age Limit

Data is retained while your account is active and for a limited period required by legal obligations and security purposes; it is then deleted or anonymized. Sporter is intended only for people aged 13 or older.
